The chief artistic director of Tatar State Academic Theatre, teacher. He was born on May 21, 1962, in Kazan. In 1983 he graduated from the acting department of Kazan Theatre School, in 1991 - the directing department of GITIS. Since 1989 - artistic director of Tatar Academic Theatre. Since May 16, 2002 - chief artistic director of G. Kamal Tatar Academic Theatre. 

His parents are the masters of Kamal Theatre stage R. Bikchantaev and N. Garayeva. After graduating from school, F. Bikchantaev himself began as an actor. His roles: Namik - “Summer in the city” Anara, Idel - “Zifa” by N.Isanbet, Sharaf - “Beloved” M.Faisi, Almazbulat - “Almazbulat” by Yu.Safiullina, Leandro - “The King-Deer” by K.Gozzi, Nail - “Before the wedding” by H. Vakhita, Julius - “The son is getting married, we are getting a divorce.” I. Yuseev.

In GITIS F. Bikchantaev studied on the course of Maria Knebel, then on the course of Professor B. Golubovsky. Being the fourth year student, Bikchantaev staged the play “Bichura” by M. Gilyazov on Kamal Theatre stage, in which, without didactics, he used purely artistic means to talk about complex, subtle and vital things - about the spiritual foundations of life. In 1991, at the festival "Tuganlyk" in Ufa, the play "Bichura" received one of the main awards. 

Brilliantly a young director overcame a high creative bar set by the play “Romeo and Juliet” by W. Shakespeare. In the first years of work in the theatre, he also staged "Kazan Guys" by M. Gilyazov, "Dance Teacher" by Lope de Vega, "Goodbye!" And "My Darling" by T. Minnullin, "The Seagull" by A. Chekhov and others. 

At the IV International Festival of Theatre Schools "Podium-95" the play "The Seagull", staged by F. Bikchantaev, was one of the three best Chekhov's productions of the year. At the International Theatre Festival of Turkic Theatres "Nauruz" in 1998 for the play "Autumn" (G. Ishaki), in 2002 for the play "Red-faced scoffer and his dark-haired beauty" (N.Isanbet) Bikchantayev was honored with the highest award in the nomination " Best director's work. The performance “The Black Burka” based on the play of G. Khugaev staged by F. Bikchantaev in the VIII International Theatre Festival of Turkic Peoples “Nauruz-2005”, which was held in Kazan, won the Grand Prix and was recognized as the winner in the nominations “Best Director's Work” , "The best male role" and "The best work of the artist"; at the All-Russian National Festival "Musical Heart of the Theatre", held in Moscow in February 2007, the same performance was declared as the winner in three nominations: "Best Performance", "Best Director" and "Best Leading Actor". 

Among the creative success of the director are also the performances “The Deaf Cuckoo” by Z. Hakim, “That’s what happened”, “The Sofa” by T. Minnullin, “The Three Sisters” by A. Chekhov and others. For 17 years, the director has staged more than 30 performances in various theatres. And now F. Bikchantaev continues his bold experiments in the field of theatrical language, in which the traditions and aesthetics of the national theatre are creatively refracted and enriched.
