Today, 3rd of October, Tatar National Academic theatre premiered “Galiabanu” by Mirkhaydar Fayzi. Ilgiz Zayniev’s direction is 10th approach to “Galiabanu” in history of Kamal theatre. The play returned since 24 year after the last direction.
P.S. Young tatar poet Mirkhaydar Fayzi’s play was for the first time brought to stage by “Shirkat” trouppe in Orenburg, in 1917. Year later Gabdulla Kariev, head of “Sayar” trouppe in Kazan put it on stage.
The performance was shown for the first time in Kazan, 7th of April, 1918. Ashrf Sinyaeva (Galiabanu), Sitdik Aydarov (Khalil) and Khamit Kulmamet (Ismail) starred at that direction. Image of sincere girl was liked by audience.
After this “Galiabanu” was stage 8 times. In 1952 it was staged by GITIS graduate Ravil Tumashev as a diploma work. All the roles in his performances were played by young artists.
For many Kamal theatre artists the roles of Galiabanu, Khalil, Ismail became milestones. In different years Ashraf Sinyaeva, Sara Baykina, Rokiya Kushlovskaya, Marzia Minlebaeva, Rauza Khayretdinova, Masguda Khayrullina, Ilsia Tukhvatullina played Galiabanu, Sitdik Aydarov, Kamal III, Uralski I, Khakim Salimdzhanov, Ibragim Gafurov, Dellus Ilyasov, Robert Abulmambetov, Ramil Tukhvatullin played Khalil, Bari Tarkhanov, Kamal I, Khamid Kulmamet, Khakim Salimdzhanov, Shakir Shamilski, Khidayat Sultanov, Ilshat Yumagulov, Amir Kamaliev played Ismail.
For the last time “Galiabanu” was staged by Prazat Isanbet in 1991. Main characters were played by Ilsia and Ramil Tukhvatullins, Amir Kamaliev.
24 years have passed, now a new version of “Galiabanu” directed by Ilgiz Zayni is ready to be shown to audience with Guzel Gulverdieva as Galiabanu, Fannur Mukhametzyanov as Khalil and Almaz Garaev as Ismail.
