In September, an exhibition of the People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, laureate of the B.Urmanche Salakhov Prize Rabis Magalimovich will open at the Kamal Theatre.The opening will take place on September 9 at 19.00 in the theatre foyer.The organizers of the exhibition are the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Union of Artists of Tatarstan, the Union of Artists of Russia, the Creative Union of Artists of Russia and the G.Kamal Theatre.Rabis Magalimovich Salakhov
He was born on December 10, 1958 in the village of Stary Aktau in the Buzdyaksky district of the Bashkir ASSR. In 1082 he graduated from the Ufa School of Arts. He has been living and working in Tatarstan since 1982.
The work of Rabis Salakhov is multifaceted. He is the initiator, organizer and active participant of symposiums and art projects held by the Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve ("White Yurt", "Yelabuga Lubok", "Tagermech-Wheel", "Adam's Rib", "Tales of Love", etc.).
The work of Rabis Salakhov as a painter is original. His works attract attention with images drawn to Tatar legends. Decorative compositions with moon-faced beauties, heavenly flowers, divine birds and fabulous animals convey the folk idea of beauty, moral ideals and spiritual traditions. His work is nourished by national origins, folklore, and modern poetic works.
Rabis Salakhov's deep interest in Turkic mythology and Eurasian culture is expressed in numerous variations of the subjects of his paintings related to the life of steppe warriors, their beliefs, heroic everyday life and holidays. In his works, he organically includes ancient ornaments and motifs of artifacts from the Nazyryk mounds, Scythian plastic and much more. In general, his work is based on identifying the specifics of folk culture, its spiritual content and emotional imagery.
Rabis Salakhov is a participant of international, foreign, All-Russian, regional, republican exhibitions. In 2013, he took part in the international symposium of the TURKSOY Creative Laboratory (Turkey).
The works of Rabis Salyakhov were acquired by the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan. The National Cultural Center "Kazan", the Hermitage-Kazan Center, the picture gallery of the Embankments of Chalna, Almetyevsk, Yelabuga, the Bulgarian State Museum-Reserve, as well as private collections in Russia and abroad.
