DILYAFRUZ-REMAKE

Автор: Tufan Minnullin

16+
Musical Comedy 2 act
Running time: 2 hours 50 minutes.

"Four  grooms for Dilafruz" by Tufan Minnullin  is play with a good fortune.  It appeared in the repertory of  our theater in 1972, in unforgettable staging by Marcel Salimzhanov. It had been in the playbills until the early nineties. The part of naughty Dilafruz and her hapless suitors were played by several generations of Galisgar Kamal theatre stars. The world around had changed, but the audience"s interest in this musical comedy with unpretentious plot continued unabated until a new era. The country in which the characters lived had split - it doesn"t exist anymore. The main intrigue of the plot - the magazine "Azat Khatyn"  (“ Liberated woman”) where the photo of the country girl was published had also  disappeared.  At first it stopped being published, later it gained another name...
New age brought some stability in our life. That means that the comedy can be considered as the classic of genre in accordance with its heroes  and happenings. Yet the historical context in which the play was written, inevitably intrudes into the text of "Dilafruz”.  Those innocent human souls and  happy villages vanished; purity,  simplicity and sincerity of relations  do not exist anymore; embittered people became isolated from each other ...
The playwright has kindly agreed to alter the play in accordance with nowadays realities and to write a remake without departing from the original idea at the suggestion of the stage director;  the roles were cast among the leading young actors of the company, and built a new relationship between the stage and the hall - the audience becomes a  real player,  intensified  ironic accents of the comedy, the action is carnivalized ...
Once a world-famous magazine “Рlауbоу” with photos of a country girl Dilyafrouz appears in one of the Tatar villages...
