XIII «Nauruz» International Turkic people theatre festival will take place in Kazan, from 5th to 9th of June, 2017. The 18 theatres from Russia, Kazakhstan and Estonia are enlisted into the festival's programme.
The playbill of XIII «Nauruz» is compiled of best performances from republics of Altay, Bashkortostan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Kazankhstan, Tatarstan, Tuva, Khakasia, Chuvashia and Yakutia. "R.A.A.А.M" theatre (Estonia) is invited as a special guest. The festival's repertory is traditionally diverse: there are world classics, ethnical parables, modern drama. Among the participating directors, there are iconic names of Sergey Potapov, Farid Bikchantaev and others. The festival will bring together more than 400 participants.
“The previous “Nauruz” festival was dedicated to Kazakhstan, this year is devoted to theatre art of Yakutia. The 4 theatres from Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) will participate this year: National Youth theatre, Olonkho theatre, National Variety theatre, P.A.Oyunski Sakha Academic theatre. ”, - says Niyaz Iglamov, the festival's programme director.
The shows of the XIII «Nauruz» festival will be shown on the city's 5 theatrical stages: Big and Small stages of Kamal theatre, Tinchurin theatre, Youth theatre, “Экият” Puppet theatre .
